We announce with great sadness the passing away of Dr. Murad Wilfried Hofmann on 12th January 2020. To Allah we belong and Unto Him we return. (Qur'an 2:256). May Allah shower His infinite Mercy and grant him a place in Jannat-al-Firdous.
He served as a trustee for over four decades, playing an active role as secretary and treasurer to the board, and in developing the academic work of the Foundation, authoring a number of key books and conducting various educational and training programmes.
Dr. Fareed Shayyal passed away this morning. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon. May Allah swt grant him a high place in Jannat al firdous and bestow Sabr upon his family.
Br. Faiyaz was keenly interested in interfaith dialogue and was one the founders of leicester council of faiths and was its president for many years.
Br. Chaudhry Abdul Majid was one of the founding trustees and thus served the foundation for over 40 years. He was born in Sailkot, Pakistan and served in the air force there before coming to the UK.
A charity established in UK in 1973, dedicated to research, publishing, education, community support and inter-faith dialogue. Set amidst almost 10 Acres in Markfield, it provides a tranquil environment for studying. The site houses a Masjid, an extensive library, a residential conference centre and a bookshop.
